Your members are scattered across the planet, and the hardest part of running an alliance has nothing to do with the game itself — it's getting enough people awake at the same time. This guide walks you through your first ApoClock session end to end. By the end you'll have a live member dashboard, a scheduled event, and your Discord channel connected.

Step 1: Open ApoClock (30 seconds)

ApoClock is a free Progressive Web App. No download required.

  1. Open https://app.apoclock.com in your browser.
  2. Create a free account or sign in with Discord or Google.
  3. Create your first Workspace — give it your alliance name.

Step 2: Configure your alliance settings (60 seconds)

Before adding members, set two things in Settings:

APOC Offset

The UTC offset of your game server time. If your server runs on UTC+0, leave it at 0. If it runs on UTC+2, set it to +120 minutes. This is how ApoClock converts server times to local times for every member.

Working Hours

The window when your alliance typically runs events (e.g., 18:00 – 23:00). This is used by Goal Seek to score time slots and by the event grid to colour-code availability.

Alliance Name / Tag

Optional, but appears in Discord embeds when you post results.

Step 3: Add your members (2 minutes)

For each member in your alliance:

  1. Click Add Member.
  2. Enter their in-game name.
  3. Enter their city (e.g., "Manila", "London", "Toronto").
  4. ApoClock geocodes the city automatically and sets their timezone — no UTC offset lookup needed.

Add 5–10 members to start. You can always add more later.

Once added, each member appears as a card showing their live local clock and period badge — Prime, Active, Evening, or Deep Night.

Tip: Don't know a member's city? Ask for the nearest major city. Timezone accuracy within the same region is usually sufficient.

Step 4: Connect Discord (60 seconds)

  1. In ApoClock, go to Settings > Discord.
  2. Click Connect Discord (1-click).
  3. Authorise with Discord and pick your alliance server.
  4. Pick which channel to post to.
  5. Done.

ApoClock's bot joins your server, creates a webhook, and syncs member avatars from Discord. Your dashboard cards will now show Discord profile pictures. See the full Discord integration guide →

No 1-click option? Use Manual setup — paste a Discord webhook URL into the field. Create one in Discord under Server Settings > Integrations > Webhooks > New Webhook. The URL looks like this:

Step 5: Run your first Goal Seek (30 seconds)

  1. Open the Goal Seek panel.
  2. Drag the time slider across the day.
  3. Watch the score update — "8 of 12 members awake" — as you scrub through time slots.
  4. Find the peak score and lock in the time.

Step 6: Create your first event (30 seconds)

  1. Go to Events > New Event.
  2. Set a title (e.g., "Weekly War"), the APOC time from your Goal Seek result, duration, and recurrence.
  3. Save.
